1- POWER OF ATTORNEY
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LEGALIZATION OF A POWER OF ATTORNEY
- An application form to be filled out online, printed and signed. This form can be found on the current page of the website of the High Commission.
- A handwritten request addressed to the High Commissioner with your name, full address in Canada, and the purpose of your power of attorney.
- A photocopy of the identity page of your valid Cameroonian passport.
- A photocopy of the document attesting to a valid status in Canada (study permit, work permit, permanent residence card, entry visa or any other residence permit issued by the Canadian government).
- A photocopy of the valid identity document of the beneficiary of the power of attorney (National identity Card or Passport identity page)
- A Power of Attorney form to be completed and signed by the applicant. Please click on the following link to find the form. All fields of the form must be filled in.
- Physical presence is required for the validation of the applicant’s signature in our records. However, it should be noted that due to the current health situation caused by Covid-19, applications must be sent to the High Commission only through postal means until further notice. Therefore, applicants are advised to have their applications authenticated by a Commissioner for Oaths before sending them by post.
Furthermore, if you have already authenticated a power of attorney in the services of the High Commission, please attach a photocopy of the said power of attorney to your application file. The authentication of your application by a Commissioner of Oaths will no longer be necessary in this case.
- The fiscal stamp fee to be affixed to the power of attorney, which amounts is 4 canadian dollars, payable in cash, certified cheque or money order to the Cameroon High Commission.
- A traceable return envelope with the applicant’s full address (including apartment number if applicable).
- photocopy of the valid consular card. If you do not have one, please click on the following link to fill in the relevant form to be printed and attached to the file.
- Depending on the nature of each application and/or if necessary, the High Commission reserves the right to request additional information and/or documents from the applicant.

2- DRIVING LICENCE
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AUTHENTICATION OF A CAMEROONIAN DRIVING LICENCE
- An application form to be filled out online, printed and signed. This form can be found on the current page of the website of the High Commission.
- A handwritten request addressed to the High Commissioner with your name, full address in Canada, and the purpose of your request.
- A photocopy of the identity page of your valid Cameroonian passport.
- A photocopy of the document attesting to a valid status in Canada (study permit, work permit, permanent residence card, entry visa or any other residence permit issued by the Canadian government).
- The original and photocopy of the Cameroonian driving licence.
- Original and photocopy of the attestation of authenticity of the driving licence issued by the Ministry of Transport in Cameroon.
- The fiscal stamp fee to be affixed to the power of attorney, which amounts is 4 canadian dollars, payable in cash, certified cheque or money order to the Cameroon High Commission.
- A traceable return envelope with the applicant’s full address (including apartment number if applicable).

- Originals and photocopies of all diplomas to be legalised.
- The fiscal stamp fee to be affixed to the power of attorney, which amounts is 4 canadian dollars, payable in cash, certified cheque or money order to the Cameroon High Commission.
